The Rated Hp of the "2" model Saturns is 124. Note that the rated Hp is what the Manufacturers publish and is at the "crank". When you run Dyno tests, the HP figure is at the Wheels. There is between a 10 and 20 percent DROP in HP from the crank to the wheels (from what I have been told).
The Base run (red line) was conducted in February, 1998.
The Base Line at the wheels was 103.3 hp
The first Modified Run (green line) was conducted in May, 1998.
The modified run at the wheels was 120.5 hp
This is a gain of 17.2 hp.
The next modified run (blue line) was conducted January, 2001.
The modified run at the wheels was 131.2 hp.
This is a gain of 10.7 hp. over the 21 hp package. This gives the car a total gain of 27.9 hp at the wheels.
Based on the manufacturers rating (124hp), there is approximately a 16.7% drop from the crank to the wheels on the stock (base run), for my car.
When we add the 16.7% figure to my modified run (green line), we get 20.6578 hp gain. Thus my figure based on the 124 hp manufacturer rating, at the crank would be
When we add the 16.7% figure to my modified run (blue line), we get 33.503 hp gain. Thus my figure based on the 124 hp manufacturing rating, at the crank would be
