The Old Testament Book of Exodus
Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee,
glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

* 1 * Death of Joseph's generation, Israelites afflicted, midwives instructed.
* 2 * Moses born, hid, taken by Pharoah's daughter, Moses slays
slays Egyptian, flees and marries Zipporah.
* 3 * The burning bush, God's observation of Israel, God's name, and
the task set before Moses.
* 4 * The signs of the rod and leprous hand, Aaron given as Moses' spokesman.
* 5 * Moses & Aaron before Pharoah, taskmasters withhold straw from Israelites.
* 6 * God reassures Moses, sends him to Pharoah and Israel. The
heads of the father's houses are named.
* 7 * The first plague -- water to blood.
* 8 * The plague of frogs -- of lice -- of flies.
* 9 * Death of livestock -- boils -- hail.
* 10 * Locusts -- darkness that could be felt.
* 11 * Death of first born prophecied.

* 15 * The song of Moses. Bitter waters are made sweet at Marah.
* 16 * Israel complains, and God sends quail and manna.
* 17 * Israel cries for water, and God sends it from a rock, Joshua
leads fight against Amalek.
* 18 * Jethro comes to Moses. Moses judges people. Moses sets up
judges over 1000's, 100's, 50's and 10's.
* 19 * Israel comes to Mt Sinai and prepares to hear God's words.
* 20 * God speaks the 10 commandments.
* 21 * God gives Moses divers laws and ordinances.
* 22 * Continuation of divers laws and ordinances.
* 23 * Continuation of laws and ordinances. God's promise if Israel
will obey.
* 24 * Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, with elders go into Mt; Moses goes
unto the Lord.
* 25 * God gives Moses instruction for the building of the Ark. The
table, the candlesticks, and the lamps.
* 26 * The curtains for the tabernacle, the veil.
* 27 * Alter of burnt offerings, the court.
* 28 * The attire of the priests.
* 29 * Rite of consecrating the priests.
* 30 * Alter of incense, attonement money, brass laver, annointing oil.
* 31 * Calling of the workmen and the keeping of the sabath.
* 32 * The making of the Golden Calf.
* 33 * God's wrath. Moses talks to God in the tabernacle. Moses asks
to see the glory of God and sees the hinderparts of God. No man can see God
and live.
* 34 * God makes the 2nd tablets, Moses' face shines, he wears veil.
* 35 * People bring free will offerings, Bezaleel & Ahaliab called.
* 36 * People restrained from giving, portions of tabernacle made
* 37 * Ark, mercy seat, table, vessels, candlestick, incense alter,
and the annointing oil made.
* 38 * Alter of burnt offering, brazen laver, court, sum of offerings.
* 39 * The holy garments -- the work is approved by Moses.
* 40 * Tabernacle is reared; and covered with cloud and with fire.
