The Old Testament Book of Genesis
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was
upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon
the face of the waters.

* 4 * Birth of Cain, Abel, Seth; Cain kills Abel; Cain's generations.
* 5 * Generations from Adam to Noah.
* 6 * The wickedness of the earth and of the building of the ark.
* 7 * Noah & family enter ark. The great flood. Water prevails 150 days.
* 8 * God remembered Noah. Coming forth from the ark. Noah built an alter.
* 9 * God's covenant with Noah, Noah's drunkeness.
* 10 * The generations of the sons of Noah.
* 11 * The Tower of Babel; Generations from Shem to Abraham.
* 12 * God's promise to Abram. Abram goes to Egypt because of a famime
where he says Sara is his sister.
* 13 * Lot and Abram separate; God's promise to Abram repeated.
* 14 * Lot taken captive; Abram rescues Lot; Melchizedek blesses Abram.
* 15 * God's promises to Abram. God foretells Israel's bondage in Egypt.
* 16 * Sarai gives Hagar to Abram. Hagar flees Sarai. Ishmael is born.
* 17 * Abram's name changed.God's covenant with Abraham,Abraham circumcised.
* 18 * God visits Abraham and tells him about the fall of Sodom & Gomorrah.
* 19 * Angels visit Lot, Cities destroyed. Lot's daughters commit incest.
* 20 * Abraham meets Abimelech.He names Sarah sister.She calls him brother.
* 21 * Isaac is born. Ishmael is banished. Abraham & Abimelech's covenant.
* 22 * Abraham is tested. God repeats his promise.
* 23 * Sarah dies. Abraham purchases the cave of Machpelah to bury her in.
* 24 * Abraham's servant brings Rebekah to Isaac.
* 25 * Abraham remarries, dies and is buried. Generation of Ishmael & Isaac.
Birth of Jacob and Esau. Esau sells his birthright.
* 26 * God's promise to Isaac. Isaac tells Abimelech Rebekah is his sister.
Esau marries wives that are a grief of mind to his parents.
* 27 * Jacob deceives Isaac & obtains Esau's blessing. Jacob blesses Esau.
* 28 * Jacob sent to Laban. Jacob dreams of a ladder reaching to heaven.
* 29 * Jacob serves Laban for Rachel & is deceived. He marries Rachel & Leah.
* 30 * Children born unto Jacob. Jacob serves Laban for stock.
* 31 * Jacob leaves Laban. Rachel steals her father's gods. Laban pursues
Jacob. God tells him to speak neither good nor ill to Jacob.
* 32 * Jacob plans his meeting with Esau,wrestles an angel,name is changed.
* 33 * Jacob and Esau meet.
* 34 * Dinah, taken by Shechem. Simeon & Levi's deceive Shechem & Hamor.
* 35 * Jacob goes to Bethel. Benjamin is born. Rachel and Isaac die.
* 36 * Generations of Esau.
* 37 * Joseph's report to his father, coat, & dreams.He is sold into Egypt.
* 38 * Tamar marries Judah's son Er & then Onan.She later conceives by Judah.
* 39 * Joseph serves Potiphar and is unjustly cast into prison.
* 40 * The Butler & Baker are cast in prison. Joseph interprets their dreams.
* 41 * Pharoah dreams; 7 good years. Joseph marries, his sons born.
* 42 * Judah sends 10 sons to buy corn. Simeon is kept in Egypt.
* 43 * The brothers take Benjamin to Joseph to obtain food.
* 44 * Joseph's cup is found in Benjamin's sack.
* 45 * Joseph identifies himself to his brethren and sends for Jacob.
* 46 * God's promise to Israel. List of Children of Israel entering Egypt.
* 47 * Jacob presented to Pharoah. Egyptians sell everything for bread;
Joseph promises not to bury Jacob in Egypt
* 48 * Jacob blesses Ephraim and Manasseh
* 49 * Jacob blesses his sons, asks to be buried in cave of Machpelah & dies.
* 50 * Jacob buried, Joseph promises good to his brethren. Joseph dies.
