The New Testament Books of 1 & 2 & 3 John and Jude

The New Testament Book of 1 John

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:8 KJV

* CHAP * COMMENTS

* 1 * We bear witness to that which we have seen and heard of the Word of Life that ye may have fellowship with us and with God and his Son Jesus Christ. We write that your joy may be full. God is light. In him is no darkness at all. If we say we have no sin we lie and deceive ourselves. If we confess our sins, he will forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
* 2 * Don't sin. Christ is the propitiation for our sins. We know him if we keep his commandments. You can't hate your brother & walk in the light. Love not the world for it passeth away. An anti-Christ denies the Father and the Son.
* 3 * How does the Father Love us that we are called the Sons of God. If we have this hope we purify ourself. He that sins is of the devil. The message from the beginning has been to love one another. If you hate your brother -- you are a murderer. Do not love just in word, but in deed and truth.
* 4 * Do not believe every spirit, but try them. God is Love. IF we love one another, God dwells in us. How can we love God and hate our brother?
* 5 * The love of God is to keep his commandments. I have written to you that believe that ye may know ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

The New Testament Book of 2 John

Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God...

2 John 9 KJV

To the elect Lady. Love one another. Walk after his commandments. If you don't abide in the doctrine you do not have God. Do not receive anyone who does not bring this doctrine for ye become a partaker of their evil deeds.

The New Testament Book of 3 John

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good...

3 John 11 KJV

To the well beloved Gaius. I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. Brother thou doest faithfully to the brethren and to strangers. Diotrephes loves the pre-eminence and did not receive us. If I come I will remember his deeds and words. Follow not evil but Good.

The New Testament Book of Jude

... it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jude 3 KJV

Contend for the faith that was once delivered to the Saints. Remember how God destroyed those that believed not -- after saving them from Egypt; the angels who are chained for not keeping their first estate; Sodom & Gomorrah was set for an example. Godless men who defile the flesh, speak evil of things they don't understand, and murmur and complain -- have slipped in among you. Keep yourself in the love of God.
