Zeph 2:3
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The Lord says, "I will utterly consume all things from the land. I will stretch out my hand on Judah and Jerusalem. I will cut off the remnant of BAAL & the name of the Chemarims; and those that worship the host of heaven; and that swear by the Lord and by Malcha; those who have turned back from the Lord; and those who have never sought the Lord.
The day of the Lord is at hand. He will punish the princes & the king's children & those clothed with strange apparal; those who fill their master's house will violence and deceit; those who settled and say the Lord will not do good nor evil.
THE GREAT DAY OF THE LORD
The day of the Lord is near -- and comes quickly! A day of wrath, of trouble and distress, wasteness & desolation, darkness and gloominess, of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet and alarm. Silver and gold will not be able to deliver.
PROPHECY TO PHILISTIA
Gaza will be abandoned. Ashkelon will be left in ruins. Ashdod will be emptied. Ekron will be uprooted. Woe to you who live by the sea. I will destroy you and the sea coast will be dwellings for shepherds and flocks. The coast will be for the remnant of Judah.
PROPHECY TO MOAB & AMMON
I have heard the reproach of Moab & and revilings of Ammon. As I live, saith the Lord, Moab will be as Sodom & Ammon as Gomorrah. The remnant of my people will plunder & possess them. This will happen because of their pride. Men will worship the Lord even from their own lands.
PROPHECY TO ETHIOPIA [CUSH]
Ye Ethiopians shall also be slain by my sword PROPHECY TO ASSYRIA He will destroy Assyria & make Ninevah a desolation. Flocks shall lay down in the middle of her. Desolation shall be in the thresholds. This is the city that said, There is none like me.
Woe to the opressing city, filthy and polluted. She didn't obey; wouldn't accept correction; Didn't trust God-nor draw nigh to Him. Her princes are lions; her judges are wolves; her prophets are treacherous. Her priests do violence to the law & pollute the sanctuary.
The just Lord within her does no iniquity. I have cut off nations & destroyed their cities. I said, surely you will fear me & accept instruction; But they arose early to corrupt their doings. Wait, says the Lord, until the day I gather the nations to pour out my indignation. Then I will turn the people to a pure language to serve the Lord with one consent. From beyond the Ethiopian rivers my scattered people will bring me offerings. Then you won't be ashamed for your doings because I will remove those who rejoice in their pride. I will leave a meek and humble people who will trust the Lord. Sing - O daughter of Zion! Be glad and rejoice! The Lord has taken away your judgement & cast out your enemy. In that day they will say, do not fear, the Lord your God is with you.
