The New Testament Book of Ephesians

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV

* CHAP * COMMENTS

* 1 * Paul to the saints at Ephesus & the faithful in Christ. Blessed be God who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ -in whom we have redemption, in whom we have obtained an inheritance, in whom ye also trusted, in whom ye believed. wherefore, I give thanks & pray for you that ye make know the hope of his calling - the riches of the glory of his inheritance and the exceeding greatness of his power which we wrought in Christ.

* 2 * You who were dead in sins, God hath raised up & made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We are his workmanship created unto good works. You, gentiles, were without hope & without God, But Christ has broken down the wall between us. We are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
* 3 * The mystery of Christ was make known to me, Paul, by revelation, that gentiles should be fellow heirs by the gospel. The grace was given to me to preach to the gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ so the church would learn the manifold wisdom of God. May Christ dwell in your heart by faith - and may you know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge.
* 4 * I, the prisoner of the Lord, beg you to walk worthy of your vocation with lowliness, meekness, and longsuffering. Keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope. We should not be as children - tossed about with every wind of doctrine. Don't walk as other gentiles walk. Put off the former way of life - put on the new man. Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God.
* 5 * Be followers of God and walk in love but let not uncleanness be once named among you. Have no fellowship with the works of darkness. Submit yourselves one to another. Husbands love your wives. Wives submit to and reverence your husbands.
* 6 * Children obey your parents in the Lord. Fathers bring up your children in the admonition of the Lord. Servants obey your masters. Masters do the same. Be strong in the Lord. Put on the entire armor of God. Pray for me that I may speak boldly. I will send Tychicus so ye may know my affairs and that he might comfort your hearts.
