The New Testament Book of Galations

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

Galations 5:14-15 KJV

* CHAP * COMMENTS

* 1 * Paul to the Churches of Galatia - I am surprised that you are so soon removed unto another gospel which is not another. If any preach any other gospel let him be accursed. The gospel I preached is not after men but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. When I was in the Jewish religion I persecuted the Church, but God called me to preach.
* 2 * 14 years later, Barnabas, Titus, & I went to Jerusalem by revelation. We didn't give place to false brethren who tried to spy out the liberty that we have in Jesus. When they saw the gospel of the of uncircumcision was given to me as the gospel to the circumcision was given to Peter, they gave us the right hand of fellowship. But I withstood Peter to the face when he came to Antioch - because he withdrew himself from the gentiles when Jews sent by James arrived. I am crucified with Christ, yet I live.
* 3 * Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith. Those of the faith are the children of Abraham. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law. The law was added because of transgressions. It was a school master to bring us unto Christ. We're in Christ-Abraham's seed & heirs according to promise.
* 4 * The heir as a child differeth nothing from a servant though he be Lord. As children we were in bondage to the elements of the world. But God sent his son to redeem us that we might be adopted. How then do ye turn again to the weak & beggarly elements by observing days, months, times & years. Ye that desire to be under the law, do you not hear the allegory of Sarah & Hagar.
* 5 * Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free. Use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh but by love serve one another. Walk in the Spirit! The works of the flesh are manifest. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.
* 6 * Restore a man overtaken in a fault. Bear one another's burdens. Be not deceived, God is not mocked. God forbid that I should glory save in the cross of Christ by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
